I was born in London, have lived all over the UK at various times, and also in the United States which I first explored in a gap year from uni. I arrived in Orkney a few years ago, and don’t seem able to leave!
I really enjoy travel, seeing new places and meeting new people.

I first started working at The Learning Link as a volunteer in about 2001, eventually becoming a paid member of the part-time staff in 2002.

I recently completed the CELTA course for ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), and so an important part of my work is helping Orkney’s migrant workers with their English language skills.
The variety of people who come through the door of The Learning Link is always stimulating, and it’s great helping people to achieve the very best they can.
